Radar coverage

Coverage quality is measured, not assumed.

The report records distance and estimated center-beam height for each operational radar. KVNX provides the nearest and lowest-beam view for this case.

The sample packet leads with the determination, then shows the event chronology, radar geometry, source record, scoring factors, and limits on use.

Scope of the report

Radar products estimate hail near the property, and ground reports carry location uncertainty. The report does not determine whether hail struck a particular surface, caused damage, or created a covered loss. Those questions require site-specific inspection and policy review.
